And encourage the same kind of underhanded and fundamentally imbalanced style of play that goes on in Heroes Ascent? I think not.

Two guilds kill each other, the other sits and watches.
I think if there is to be 1 vs 1 vs 1... There needs to be forced fighting. Some kind of timer, if you don't engage in combat within 1 minute you're ejected from the match.

ye, it will be hard to have a clean fight in this thing, i got a new idea:
3 guilds as said, but all of them divided into groups of 4.
ok location, a new hall with a castle and a forest, one guild inside the castle, and two outside on each sides of the forest.
so there are 6 teams on the arena, 2 from each guild.
and one team from each guild will fight against a team from another guild, let's say there are the guilds a, b and c in a match like this, the a vs b, a vs c and b vs c.
the guild with most kills total wins or something like that, maybe they have to steal flags from each othersand the one that has steaøed the most wins?
ok, i drew how the map would be like, colors:
light green = normal grass, movable area
dark green = forest where you can't go or go through
light grey = castle/building walls, you can be on these locations somehow, stair etc...
dark grey = castle/building walls where you can't go or go through
dark blue = the sea
light blue = river
brown = bridge
red = guild 1
blue = guild 2
yellow = guild 3

Gunna love when I get it to be 2 vs 1 when you can persuade the other guild to team up.

Yeah, bad idea.
Maybe if was a 4 way where you had Team A vs Team B and Team C vs Team D. Then winner of A&B fights winner of C&D.

With the way VOD works now there's an inherent time limit. Like the way normal gvg works now I can't see a match like this going on much longer than 40 minutes. I could see something like this being a fun diversion, and it would add some intersting tactical elements (Admittedly, most of that's 'how long do I want to wait'.).
That said there are some huge problems with the idea. For one, EviL couldn't play. Nor could WM, iGi, iQ, iB or any other well known guild. It doesn't matter how good you are, 16v8 is a death sentence. Also, I could see just about every build in that game being built for quick ganks. Hell I imagine a group of 7 adrenospikers and an HH/HS monk would fare pretty well in that situation. Everyone waits until 35 mins, and then the fastest gank wins.
If something like this was ever implemented it should be unranked and definitely shouldn't be used for competitive play.

Isn't that kind of the same thing as the final rounds of a tournament?
I'll admit it would be cool to have a GvGvG, but I just don't think it would work, for pre-stated reasons.
Edit: Maybe if 2 Guilds were forced to ally against 1 other, and the 1 had some kind of advantage against the other 2. Double health and energy or something.

Thats how some of the HoH maps are now. It could just be a random thing to give GvG a little more flavor. Instead of every GvG having the same objective, put some different maps with different objectives with new ways of winning.
